Burrito
A native Linux overlay application for displaying real-time position-aware information.

Burrito is an overlay too for Guild Wars 2 that runs natively on Linux while being able to communicate to a wine application
Burrito brings Windows-style overlay functionality to Linux for Guild Wars 2, with over 2000 downloads since launch. It combines a native Linux renderer with a minimal Wine-side bridge to stream real-time position data from the game.
- Split the system across an OS boundary — a native Linux renderer plus a minimal Wine-side bridge — so the overlay never has to run the game's platform.
- Renders and edits 3D markers and trails in real time, layered over the game window with transparency and mouse pass-through.
- Achieved over 2000 downloads since launch.
Architecture
Burrito is split into two processes. The overlay itself is a native Linux application responsible for rendering, editing, and the user interface. A small Windows helper runs inside Wine alongside the game, reads the memory-mapped link data the game publishes for overlays, and forwards it to the native side.
